Camera recorder
The camera recorder is a camera with a built-in recording system. If the conventional surveillance camera requires to be paired with an external recorder, the camera recorder already has one. In most cases, the recording is done on a micro SD memory card that you can use to equip your camera.
There are two types of recorders, the DVR recorder and the NVR recorder. A recorder, whether DVR or NVR, can store video streams and encode images digitally before processing them. The DVR recorder will digitally compress the video stream of an analog camera before storing it on the memory card. Most of the spy camerasas soon as dashcams or hunting cameras are equipped with the DVR recorder.
As for the NVR recorder, it directly records digital images from the IP network. There are also two recording modes for each type of camera recorder. On the one hand, there is the classic recording that takes place within the limit of the storage space available on the memory card. This is particularly the case for the spy camera pen, whose recording time is determined by the memory card's ability. On the other hand, there is the loop recording frequently found in the on-board car cameras. In this case, the recording is not limited by the memory card's ability, because once it is full, the new records overwhelm the first ones that will be erased.
