GPS bike tracker
Definition
a GPS bike tracker is a geolocation device specially designed for bicycles. It stands out from a classic tracer by its somewhat peculiar shape.
Specificity
The GPS bike tracker is a camouflaged tracker, almost invisible to non-connoisseurs. Cylindrical in shape, it must perfectly marry the handlebar gallows to be inserted. In addition, this system has the distinction of being very difficult to extract. But the GPS bike tracker also takes on the appearance of other parts of the bike whose most common is the taillight. Indeed, the GPS beacon is hidden in a backlight of the bike. However, the beacon is vulnerable in this form.
This kind of tracker is powered by a removable rechargeable battery. To optimize battery use, the GPS bike tracker is passive: it sends GPS coordinates only by request from its owner. However, the latter can swap it in active mode if necessary. This is why it is necessary to accompany it with a SIM card with a subscription (or prepaid package). It will send the geolocation data to a tracking application.
use
The tGPS racker for bike is used to locate a bike in case of loss or theft. Although it can act as a deterrent, it does not exempt the bicycle from locking when parked.
