GSM Location
there GSM location is a method of Geolocation based on the location of a device with a SIM card operating with a GSM network. It can be a mobile phone or a MOBILE tracker. There are three methods of gps tracking.
The first method is called Enhanced Observed Time Difference or EOTD. The GSM module emits a signal that is picked up and returned from the nearest mobile station. The time difference between the show and the GSM-free reception allows an external server to locate the module's location on its network. The second method is Cell ID. This method allows to locate the user who is in an area covered by the network by identifying the cell of his mobile antenna.
Very fast, this technique can be performed in less than 3 seconds, but the accuracy is not always there. The third method of geolocation is the Triangulation. This involves using the module's over-the-air antenna. Three transmitter relays and receivers send information that is then processed and analyzed. Relays change with the module's movements. For triangulation to work, the SIM card must have a specific application. Its advantage is that it offers better accuracy with an average location time. For GPS trackers equipped with GSM modules, GSM location can take over in case gps location fails.
