How do I install a dashcam in a car?

Fixing the dashcam
According to the model dashcam, the place where it will be fixed is going to be different. There are 3 fixing systems for this type of device:

- The fixing with an adhesive system
- The fixing on the rearview mirror
The first option allows your dashcam to be directly installed on the windshield or just in the back of your rearview mirror. If your dashcam has an adhesive system, it can be easily attached to the location of your choice. As the name suggests, the third type of fastener is intended to be attached to your rearview mirror.
The connection of the dashcam
There are 3 types of connection for a dashcam in your car:
- The classic branch allows you to plug your dashcam directly into your cigarette lighter. The main drawback of this system is that it blocks the connection of other devices like GPS.
- The plug into the fuse box consists of plugging 3 wires into the box. These sons will allow the dashcam to be continuously powered, whether the car is on or not.
- The connecting with complementary equipment. This device is an external battery that will be plugged into the fuse box. When your vehicle is stopped, the dashcam will continue to work thanks to its battery.
Setting the dashcam
The final phase of installation of the dashcam goes through the setting of it. HasBe sure that the video quality is good and that your camera is recording correctly from a wide angle of view. Check the brightness as well as the sound quality. Install your dashcam at the right height so that it captures all the movements in front of your vehicle.
