Outdoor camera
An outdoor camera is a device capable of recording video shots outdoors. It is also called surveillance camera.
functioning
An outdoor camera, just like a wifi camera, uses an IP address to form an interconnected network with a router and web platform. The user can therefore view the recording data of one or more of his cameras through this platform, whether on computer, tablet or smartphone. In general, these cameras use the Ethernet cable at the expense of the wifi network, because the cable provides, in addition to the connection, the power needed for continuous monitoring. So they're wired cameras, but they're still effective.
Specificities
Depending on the needs of its user, a outdoor camera can be equipped with night vision and sensors of all kinds (fire, movement, animals). Night vision is particularly useful if monitoring is to be continuous. Some manufacturers give their camera an alarm that goes off when the detectors signal something. The outdoor camera is, as the name calls it, intended for outdoor use. It is therefore configured to withstand the weather (rain, snow, hail), especially by maximizing its waterproofing. The factor to remember is its anti-vandalism ability. But many users simply place it in a place that is difficult to access, and difficult to identify, to protect it.
use
Outdoor cameras are used for outdoor visual surveillance, such as a perimeter wall, parking. This is intended to protect the site, but sometimes the very presence of the camera has a deterrent effect on potential criminals and vandals. After the fact, they identify the perpetrators of damage to the user's property.
