Surveillance system
A monitoring system is the set of means to monitor an area remotely.
First, the CCTV recorder can be distinguished. It allows images to be stored and to control and program the system. Previously, recorders were just used to store images and view them. With the advancement of technology, the recorder now includes options such as adjusting the angle of motorized cameras, adjusting the sensitivity of motion detection or triggering an alarm.
Second, there is the Video surveillance. It connects the cameras to the recorder. This is an armoured cable designed to transmit video signals from the camera to the recorder. Finally, the components of the surveillance system are surveillance cameras. They can be inside or outside, depending on the waterproofing of the case. There are several kinds of surveillance cameras, namely, simple cameras and night vision cameras. The advantage with these is that they are functional day and night. This is thanks to infrared, whose sensitivity varies from one model to another. Also, some cameras work in total darkness while others need a minimum illumination threshold.
One of the main criteria of surveillance cameras is the quality of their photos. We talk about HD cameras when it offers a format beyond the 720P. With an HD camera, you can film every detail in the field of view.
